
AN EXTENSIVE SEARCH in and around Aberlour and parts of Aberdeen ended successfully yesterday when a missing 82-year-old was located safe and well.
Kenneth Duffus had not been seen since Saturday at around 5pm in Aberdeen and it was unclear if he had made his way home or remained in the city.
Police deployed dogs in their search along with the Police Scotland helicopter and the Coastguard, with officers also speaking to residents in Aberdeen and Aberlour.
However, there was relief when early on Monday afternoon Mr Duffus was located safe an well in his home area of Carron in Aberlour.
Police issued a statement thanking the media and general public for their assistance in the search for Mr Duffus.
