
A WOMAN HAS been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A96 in Elgin earlier this afternoon.
The accident happened at the junction with Wittet Drive shortly after 3.30pm when the woman was travelling in a red Honda which collided with a G-Med doctor’s car just yards from Dr Gray’s Hospital.
All emergency services were despatched with police closing the road for a period.
The woman was uplifted by ambulance before being taken to the nearby Accident and Emergency Unit at Dr Gray’s.
Confirming the accident police suggested that the injured woman’s injuries may not be serious: “The collision was between a Honda Jazz and a Skoda Octavia on the A96 at Wittet Drive at 3.40pm.
“A female was taken to accident and emergency for some precautionary checks. The road was closed while the ambulance was at the scene but traffic is moving again now.”
