Final consultation round set for Elgin Transport Strategy

A SERIES OF OPEN events this month will provide the public with an opportunity to provide feedback into the new draft transport strategy for Elgin.

Recently approved by councillors, the strategy will be subjected to a final round of consultation with the general public aimed at ensuring it fully reflects their earlier input.

The open events taking the form of a pop-up shop will be in the St Giles Centre in Elgin, while there will be two further open evenings at Bishopmill School and the Cedarwood day centre.

Comments can also be made via an online form or on a paper copy available from the council’s Elgin Access Point. You can also go to the council Facebook page and leave comments there.

To view the strategy and submit comments people can use the online form.

The pop-up shop will open today from 12noon until 3pm and again on Saturday from 11am to 2pm, while the open doors evenings will be held on Monday, January 23 from 5.30pm until 8.30pm at Bishopmill Primary’s old school hall, and on Thursday, January 26 from 5pm to 8pm at the Cedarwood day centre.
