Strathisla event celebrates and informs group funding

A DOZEN MORAY COMMUNITY groups who were successful in gaining funding for their projects through the tsiMoray ‘Big Vote’ are being invited to a special event next week.

The Big Vote was a participatory funding event through tsiMoray’s Our Communities Drugs and Alcohol Initiative – now the winning groups will further strengthen relationships achieved through the process by sharing their success and learning more about promoting projects and services.

They will also be able to swap notes on further opportunities to sustain their activities and locate additional funding.

A spokeswoman for tsiMoray said: “The successful projects have already received their invitation, but we are delighted to extend this invitation to people who are interested in finding out more about Our Communities Initiative so far, and how to get involved.

“The event is being held on Tuesday, February 21 from 2pm to 4pm at the Gallery at the Strathisla Distillery in Keith. The venue along with teas and coffee have very kindly been provided with assistance from Distillery owners Chivas Brothers and the Scotch Whisky Association.”

Places need to be booked by tomorrow – February 17 – at 12noon to guarantee a free place at the event – this should be done by contacting tsiMoray by Email to elidh@tsimoray.org.uk or by telephoning 01343 541713.
