Open space plan goes to public consultation event today

A NEW APPROACH to how open spaces in Moray are utilised will be the subject of discussions today at Elgin Library.

Moray Council are hosting a drop-in session in the Gallery at the Library from 4pm to 7pm today, at which planning officers will be on hand to explain the content of the draft ‘Open Space Strategy’.

The strategy sets out a strategic vision for the provision, development and management of publicly usable open space in Moray, including public parks, play spaces, sports areas, woodland and green corridors.

The strategy is available to view at www.moray.gov.uk/currentconsultations while comments can be sent by e-mail to localdevelopmentplan@moray.gov.uk by the deadline of 5pm on Friday, April 28.
