TWO MORAY STORES operated by local charity Moray Reach Out will soon be opening their doors to an exciting range of new products.
Buckie Yarns is set to reopen following a major new refurbishment. Both the Buckie shop and the ‘In Stitches’ store in Elgin have recently been overhauled – in keeping with the Moray Reach Out mission to deliver top quality products and services through their social enterprises.
Moray Reach Out manager Shona Radojkovic explained: “We have a diverse range of operations from our Waste Watchers teams in Buckie and Lossiemouth to our two stores located in prominent positions in Elgin and Buckie.
“These stores have been operating well under a committed team of staff, trainees and volunteers for many years.
“A recent transition in the organisation gave us an opportunity to start afresh and after consulting staff, trainees and customers we are now looking forward to the official opening of the new stores.”
Moray Reach Out is a charity providing spaces for vulnerable adults, helping them gain training and work experience.
Nanette, a trainee at Buckie Yarns, commented: “I really like the new shop and all of the new stock – the shop is much brighter and open. I am really looking forward to the opening.”
Buckie Yarns will open their doors with a re-launch event taking place on Saturday, April 8 from 9am and 4pm on West Church Street, Buckie. That will be followed by In Stitches in Elgin opening on Monday April 10 at 15 High Street, Elgin from 9am to 4pm and on Thursday, April 13 with a special evening opening from 4pm to 7pm.
Looking ahead to the openings Shona added: “Buckie will see a whole new range of yarns and high quality Scottish gifts, with In Stitches continuing their popular embroidery but also now stocking locally sourced jewellery and Scottish Gifts also.
“A warm welcome is extended to all new and existing customers and there are fantastic deals on offer on the day.”
