COMMUTERS BETWEEN ELGIN and Lossiemouth have been suffering long delays this evening as temporary traffic lights on the main route between the towns appear to have failed.
Two sets of the lights around 500m apart have been operating throughout the day, however we have reports of 20 minute delays in getting just a few hundred yards as traffic is backed up leaving Elgin this evening.
A commuter told insideMoray at around 5.30pm on Tuesday evening: “Elgin to Lossie road is a complete standstill with road works and traffic lights.
“The lights are near wood place cross roads but traffic is backed up into Bishopmill, taken us 20 mins to get from Bonnie Earl to Buccaneer and traffic from Lossie is stopped well back from Spynie.”
Police are in attendance and attempting to resolve the issue.
