Appeal after golf buggy is last seen being driven west on Moray road

THE THEFT OF golf equipment from a Moray golf course has sparked an appeal for information by police.

A golf buggy was removed from Kinloss Country Golf Club in Forres. The green EZ-GO cart is worth a three-figure sum and was reported missing in the early hours of Wednesday, June 14.

PC Sean Wood, who is leading the inquiry, said: “In particular we want to trace a man who was seen driving what we believe to be the golf cart west on the B9089 Roseisle – Kinloss road close to Kinloss village.

“He was aged in his early twenties, with short fair hair and was wearing a grey coloured hoodie. Anyone who saw a man matching this description is urged to contact Police.

“Likewise anyone who lives in the area and has private CCTV footage which they think could assist should also get in touch. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public to always be on their guard of opportunistic thieves.

“This is generally an extremely safe area to live, however it’s important to never be complacent. Ensure outbuildings, sheds and garages are always locked when unattended, and that any valuables are secure.

“Please report any suspicious people and vehicles to Police as and when you see them so that we can target our resources in the right places at the right times.

“You can contact Police on 101, 999 if it is an emergency or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
