A CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE has been awarded to one of Moray’s fastest growing and most popular tourism attractions.
Just seven years after its formation, Kinloss-based Science Technology and Aviation Experience project Morayvia has revealed that they have received the TripAdvisor award.
The achievement celebrates tourism and hospitality businesses that have achieved consistently high reviews from visitors over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include restaurants, accommodation and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
Morayvia Chairman Mark Mair was delighted by the award today, telling insideMoray: “We have always worked to provide an excellent visitor experience – and having been awarded this Certificate of Excellence is confirmation that experience is being felt by our visitors.
“We always appreciate feedback as it will allow us to grow and continually improve upon what we are doing here.
“But this is not just about Morayvia, this is recognition of the volunteers and the businesses that support us to make it all possible, without them we wouldn’t be able to give the visitor experience as we do now.”
TripAdvisor’s Vice President of Industry Marketing, Heather Leisman, paid tribute to the Moray attraction that regularly entertains local school groups as well as hundreds of visitors, saying: “TripAdvisor is excited to announce the recipients of the 2017 Certificate of Excellence, which celebrates hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.
“This recognition allows us to publicly honour businesses that are actively engaging with customers and using feedback to help travellers identify and confidently book the perfect trip.”
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
Morayvia exists as a tribute to the technological and aviation history of Moray. It’s growing array of aviation exhibits includes a Nimrod, Sea King and Jaguar – three aircraft that famously graced the region while based at RAF Kinloss and RAF Lossiemouth.
