Moray salon takes award as one of best in Britain

A MORAY SALON has emerged as the Business Salon of the Year at a glittering ceremony in London this week.

KAM Hair and Body Spa in Lossiemouth emerged at the top of the list when the winners were revealed at the Century Club on Shaftesbury Avenue.

With canapés and an abundance of aperitifs on offer on the exclusive rooftop terrace, the finalists were in good spirits to celebrate the most outstanding business models, stunning salon design, first class education, strong team work and much more over the past 12 months.

As the sun went down, guests were invited downstairs to the Green Room where exposed brick walls, decorative lighting and solid wood floors created a warming atmosphere.

It was here that Joanne Charlton, Publishing Editor of Salon Business, introduced the awards to an excitable crowd, eager to hear who had wowed the judges. Joanne said: “Each and every finalist helped to make the awards what they are today, ensuring the bar is raised year upon year. They certainly gave the judges a tough job, and now it is time to announce the awards.”

The Lossiemouth salon had been shortlisted in two of the 12 categories – best Retail and best Business Salon of the Year – and it was the latter in which they emerged victorious.

Following the awards event salon owner Karen Thomson said: “This means so much to us, as a salon we are very business orientated and it is an honour for this to have been recognized at these brilliant awards.”

The annual awards are organised by hairdressing trade magazine ‘Salon Business’ and look to rewarding the most talented people in the business.
