TRAINING AND EDUCATION organisations from throughout Moray were on hand at RAF Lossiemouth recently at the base Adult Learners’ Day.
Open to the wider RAF family in the area, the events saw Service and Civilian personnel as well as their families mingling with stand providers to discuss a range of training opportunities.
The day is organised by the Station Learning Centre – with this year the event attracting over 160 personnel seeking further education information and advice, covering training topics ranging from glider training to health and beauty qualifications.
Linda Roy is the Personal Learning Advisor at RAF Lossiemouth, responsible for providing advice and guidance on personal training and education opportunities as well as organising courses for Station personnel.
She said:“Our recent Adult Learners’ Day was another chance for training providers to give advice and information directly to the personnel who work at RAF Lossiemouth as well as their families.
“It can sometimes be difficult for Service personnel to know when and where they might next have an opportunity to do any personal development training – so these types of events help them ask more detailed questions of the training providers.”
