TWO EVENTS ARE to be held over two days at the Moray Resource Centre to mark Motor Neurone Disease awareness and the general services it provides.
On Wednesday, June 21 from 12noon until 2pm an information session will be held that coincides with Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Day.
Speaker Gemma Catton will be sharing her personal experiences as a carer for someone with MND and explaining the support which is available.
The following day, June 22, the centre will open its doors again from 10.30am until 12noon allowing the public to call in and see for themselves how best the multi-purpose facility is put to use.
The Open Day at the centre, which is on Elgin’s Maisondieu Road, will allow groups who use the facility to showcase their services – these include the MRC Day Service, Independent Living Centre, Blue Badge and Design Works.
Also present will be Moray Companion, Moray Mental Health, Veterans First Point Grampian, Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland and Epilepsy Moray.
Both days are free events.
