A THEFT IN one of Moray’s smallest communities has sparked an appeal from local police officers who said it was particularly upsetting for the victim.
The appeal follows what has been described as a “high value” theft in the Kingston area, which is believed to have taken place at some point between July 14 and August 5.
Property taken includes gold jewellery and watches that are valued at a low five-figure sum.
Investigating officer is PC Karen Callinswood, who said: “It will understandably have been upsetting for the individual involved to suffer the loss of these valuable items and we are appealing to anyone with information which could assist us to get in touch.
“In particular we would ask anyone who is offered gold watches or chains for sale and is concerned as to where they may have come from to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 856 of 7 August or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.”
