POLICE HAVE MADE two arrests in connection with an alleged assault that took place in Keith last weekend.
The allegation came after Lorna Buchanan, 30, was left with blood pouring from wounds after being accosted as she was returning along to her home in the Moray town.
She had been making her way along Station Road when the incident happened – and was relieved when two policemen came around a corner.
A police spokeswoman said on Wednesday: “Police can confirm that two men aged 26 and 29 have been charged in relation to an alleged assault on a woman in the Station Road area of Keith on 13 August.
“They are anticipated to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today, Wednesday, 16 August.”
Sergeant Krystle Ross added: “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance while enquiries were carried out.”
