Moray’s Military Wives Choirs set to keep the music rolling

MORAY’S MILITARY WIVES choirs are busy this week organising two special events that will take one into the recording world and the other producing a special concert.

The Lossiemouth Military Wives Choir has revealed that they will be involved in the production of a new album in the new year – but if that is to succeed they are looking for public support.

Eran Craig explained: “Next year marks the centenary of the end of World War 1. Fierce heroism from troops at the Front was matched by the country’s women who raised children alone, nursed, and worked tirelessly despite the loss of loved ones.

“The Military Wives Choirs can tell the story of these women like no one else can, as it is ours, and we want to mark the occasion through music. So we are asking that people support us on Pledge Music by pre-ordering our 2018 album now – and share our video to reach as many people as possible! Help us to remember them – we can’t do it without you.”

The new album can be pre-ordered and the video viewed online here.

Meanwhile the Kinloss Military Wives Choir will be performing for charity at The Holy Trinity Church in Elgin on Friday evening.

Their performance starts at 7.30pm with tickets available now at only £10 – which includes refreshments. Tickets can be purchased from the Burghead Post Office, Sound and Vision, Elgin, the Kinloss Military Choir and on the evening at the door.
