Morayvia’s world darts winning fan pledges a return to Moray

Mark Mair with Morayvia supporter Gary Anderson

TWO TIME WORLD DARTS champion Gary Anderson has been back in the north east this week – and underlined his continued support for the team behind Morayvia.

Gary is a big fan of the science, technology and aviation centre based at a former school in Kinloss – the work of a team of volunteers who have managed to create one of the most popular visitor attractions in the region.

Having taken the Darts world by storm, Gary appreciates the hard work and dedication required to create any sort of success.

Morayvia’s Mark Mair explained: “Alan Ewen dropped in at Morayvia this week to present us with £940 – this was donated through raising funds at auctions and a few events.

“Alan, along with Steven Falconer, have visited Morayvia many times and decided to take Gary a copy of a picture of him posing beside a Sea King last year when he visited Moray. At the time Gary wanted the full tour and commented on how the volunteers had made Morayvia such a wonderful experience.

“Subsequently I was invited to Fraserburgh to meet up with Gary who was keen to learn how the project was progressing – he said he was extremely keen to visit Morayvia again and perhaps do an event for us with the help of Alan and his team.”
