A RARE JOB OPPORTUNITY has become available for someone to join the team behind one of Moray’s most unique training establishments.
The Keith Kilt and Textile Centre are looking to recruit an experienced Kiltmaker who can pass on their skills and experience to a steady stream of willing students.
Established in 1994, the centre has already trained hundreds of Kiltmakers – many of whom have since gone on to establish their own businesses.
Linda Gorn told insideMORAY that ideally the new recruit will be enthusiastic about the craft – and of course be a reliable and experienced Kiltmaking tutor.
She said: “The Keith Kilt School was set up in 1994 with many students passing through going into business or simply carrying on their new found skills as a hobby.
“We require a Kiltmaker who can pass on the age-old art of Kiltmaking to our students, who come from all over the world to study in Keith. Our Kilt Course is an SQA approved customised award in Kiltmaking – this is unique and is only provided at the Keith Kilt and Textile Centre.
“Anyone who believes they have the skills to join our team is asked to contact the Head of Centre by email to kiltsandtextiles@btconnect.com or in writing to Keith Kilt and Textile Centre, 147 Mid Street, Keith, Banffshire AB55 5BJ”
