MORAY’S MP HAS determined to keep up a Moray tradition by launching a Christmas Card competition to children at primary schools around the region.
Moray’s Westminster representative has in the past held such a competition for the card design – while Mr Ross himself did so in 2016 when he was a member of the Scottish Parliament.
The MP said: “As the Member of Parliament for Moray I am asking all local primary school children to help design my 2017 Christmas card.
“I ran this competition last year in my old primary school at Alves when I was an MSP and it was a great success. I can’t believe a year has passed and such a lot has changed as I’m now representing Moray at Westminster.
“I am asking children from schools in the constituency to send me their designs along the theme of Festive Greetings from Moray and the winning design will be used for my first official 2017 Christmas card with prizes for the winners.”
Entries are now open but original designs must be received in the constituency office at 63 High Street, Forres IV36 1PB by 4pm on Friday, November 17.
Winners will be informed on the following Friday by telephone. Entries should be done on an A4 sheet and must have the child’s name and class and school written on the back.
Mr Ross added: “Get designing – I look forward to seeing how creative you can all be!”
