CATERING COMPANIES, restaurateurs and eateries are being invited to bid for the franchise to provide services at the new Moray Sports Centre.
Construction is expected to start early next year for one of the largest projects of its kind ever to take place in Moray.
Now a search has been launched for companies who will be able to serve up regional, healthy ingredients in seasonal menus.
The centre will have a coffee shop front including a soft play area, a quieter adult lounge and three meeting rooms which can be turned into one large conference space. There will also be external seating areas and BBQ for when the Moray sun shines.
A sample menu could include an array of smoothies, omelettes with various fillings and high protein and low carb dishes including vegetables, pulses, wholesome brown rice and pastas.
As a regional sports centre, the facility will host events and competitions that could include local and regional tennis competitions, residential sports camps, education events, conferences, music or comedy events. The MSC plans to grow the hospitality opportunities as it becomes more established.
As part of its operation the franchise should achieve the VisitScotland’s ‘Taste Our Best’ award to celebrate the quality of local produce, staff knowledge and culinary skills.
The MSC’s Charity brings opportunities to work closely with members of our community, recruiting local people, developing opportunities and supporting our local economy. To be able to deliver affordable healthy local seasonal food would be beneficial to all and a great addition to Moray.
