Fochabers Library will play host to author Bruce Keith for an illustrated talk on his new book, Bridgescapes, next week.
A year on from the opening of the new Queensferry Crossing across the Firth of Forth, Bruce will talk about how bridges represent significant engineering achievements, as well as and forming part of Scotland’s cultural, historic and landscape heritage.
The book celebrates the contribution that Scottish engineers have made to bridges around the globe – and will include plenty of local examples. He will also speak about his experience as a writer, and the challenges and opportunities writing the book presented.
The talk is free of charge and will take place at Milne’s Learning Centre (Fochabers Library) on Thursday, 6 September, at 7pm.
