MacMoray saves 250 free tickets for Cooper Park neighbours

Free tickets to a two-day concert in Elgin have been distributed as an antidote to having noisy neighbours over the weekend.

MacMoray will descend on Cooper Park for stomping stage acts on Saturday and Sunday, including The Jacksons and Status Quo.

Organiser Andy Macdonald said they did receive some complaints about the potential noise, so they have made efforts to rectify the problem.

He said: “With MacMoray summer being a special one-off event, we donated free family tickets to hundreds of neighbours to welcome them to the show.”

Andy said they’ll also be monitoring the sound levels to comply with regulations.

“We invested in brand new top of the range noise monitoring equipment that accurately reads noise levels.”

MacMoray’s top fan David MacKay and his family volunteered to deliver 250 free tickets to neighbours as a thank you for putting up with the noise.

Andy added: “We just want everyone to enjoy MacMoray and come together for what is the biggest event we have ever put on at Cooper Park.”

“A special thank you to David McKay and his family for taking time out to hand deliver the letters.

“Unfortunately, not all houses were able to receive tickets as we simply couldn’t go over capacity but we are very appreciative of the support and compliments we have received.

Streets where tickets have been delivered include: Kingsmills, Cockburn Place, East and West Backstreet, Blantyre Place, Deanshaugh and King Street
