Moray householders are being warned that time is running out on a deal that could see them have new heating boilers fitted to their homes at no cost.
The Scottish Government backed HEEPS Affordable Warmth Scheme was introduced to help those facing fuel poverty. Any household in receipt of specified state benefits can qualify under the scheme for a free energy-saving boiler.
One of the energy specialist companies who were awarded a contract to provide qualifying Moray households with boilers under the scheme is now calling on local residents to “use it or lose it” before funding for the scheme is withdrawn at the end of March.
Tristan Wolfe is general manager at Kinetiqa, North East based specialists in the energy efficiency and renewables market. He said: “This scheme helps in addressing the need to alleviate fuel poverty in Moray.
“We are a local company with a trusted reputation so we are particularly pleased to deliver the free boiler scheme in our home territory.
“Our advisors are ready and waiting to receive enquiries from Moray residents but they will need to be quick as funding for the free boiler scheme will expire at the end of March.”
To qualify for the free boiler replacement residents must live in the Moray area and be a home owner, private tenant or be a private landlord.
Anyone who believes they may qualify for a free boiler is encouraged to contact Kinetiqa on 01466 794300 or email enquiries@kinetiqa.co.uk.
