Appeal for witnesses after Elgin disturbance leaves man in hospital

An appeal has been issued for witnesses following a disturbance in Elgin at the weekend that left one man in hospital.

The victim was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital following the incident on Saturday evening which is understood to have involved a knife.

A police spokesman said: “We are making inquiries into the circumstances surrounding a disturbance close to New Elgin Road.

“The incident resulted in a male being conveyed to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment for the injuries he sustained during.

“His injuries have been assessed not to be life threatening.

“Police Scotland are appealing to members of the public who may have seen something or been in the area to contact the force on 101.”
