A short documentary highlighting inspirational entrepreneurs from Moray is to be shown as part of the most ambitious programme of business events ever held in the region.
tsiMoray are behind the screening of ‘It’s Happening’ hosted by the Out of the Darkness Theatre Company and the Social Enterprise Academy.
The free screening will form part of an event from 7pm until 9.30pm on Friday, November 14 at the Elgin Youth Cafe.
Kim Siu, Social Enterprise Development Manager at tsiMORAY said “The night promises all young, aspiring, social entrepreneurs an evening of fun, entertainment and the chance to experience social enterprise in action.”
Moray Business Week begins on Monday with a packed programme of events of interest to local businesses of all sizes as well as individuals. On Tuesday the St Giles shopping centre hosts Moray’s first ever social enterprise market place where shoppers can expect to find a host of bargains from 10am to 3pm.
That will include stalls from a wide range of local enterprises including ReBoot, Knockando Woolmill, Forres Area Credit Union and Moray Waste Busters.
Kim Siu said: “The Moray Economic Strategy recognises the social economy as one of its considerable strength and opportunities, describing it as a well-established and developing social economy with high levels of engagement which can provide a resource to build capacity in service delivery and in product and service development in key sectors.
“Social enterprises work toward creating a more just society and it is essential that they act with integrity and are, enabling, democratic and transparent, creative and innovative, inclusive and effective and most of all determined to make a difference.”
