Over 500 pupils set for Buckie High Careers Fayre

Around 500 Moray school pupils are set for future careers advice at an event in Buckie High School this week.

The Highfield Hall at the school will see around 40 organisations set up stalls and offer advice to S4 through to S6 pupils.

Organised by Ideas in Partnership, the Careers Fayre will see around 500 pupils attending as part of their timetables. They are set to ask questions about the skills, personal qualities and qualifications they will need to be successful in their chosen career.

Parents have also been invited to accompany their children while the event is also open to the general public.

Mrs Jackie Stevenson, the Depute Rector at Buckie High School, said: “With over 40 organisations attending I am confident that the event will offer exciting opportunities to the pupils and the wider Buckie community.”

insideMoray will be on hand at the event, explaining to pupils the importance of emerging community news websites.

The Careers Fayre will be at the Highfield Hall in Buckie High School from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday.
