Elgin centre to host lecture from Deputy First Minister

Alexander Graham Bell Centre

Moray is set to host the latest in a series of free business leadership lectures that have seen a portfolio of prestigious business leaders speak to audiences throughout the Highlands.

Organised in association with the Institute of Directors, the lectures have in the past seen such as VisitScotland Chairman Mike Cantlay and Scottish Government Director-General Learning and Government, Leslie Evans, speaking to local businesses.

Next month the lecture will be held at Moray College UHI with John Swinney MSP, the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Constitution and the Economy.

Mr Swinney is well aware of the contribution made by the region to the Scottish economy and chaired the Convention of the Highlands and Islands in Elgin in 2012 during a visit that also saw him launch the Moray Economic Strategy.

Entry to the lecture, which will take place in the Alexander Graham Bell Centre on Wednesday, January 7 at 4.30pm, is free of charge with light refreshments being served at 4pm.

Space will, however, be limited and early booking is essential. Further details can be found on the University web site while bookings for the event can be made via the Eventbrite web site.
