Two set for court after drugs recovery in Aberlour and Elgin


Two men are expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court in relation to a drugs seizures in Moray on Friday and Saturday.

Police arrested a 50-year-old man and siezed drugs to the value of around £18,000 when a vehicle was stopped on the A95 near Aberlour on Friday.

Later that day cocaine valued at almost £4000 was discovered at an address in Elgin.

Also due to appear in court is a 26-year-old man who was arrested after £7000 worth of cocaine was seized at an Elgin address on Saturday along with smaller quantities of heroin and diazepam at the same address.

Detective sergeant Andrew Wilson said: “People who deal drugs cause misery in our communities and we will continue to target them by taking action at every opportunity.

Both men are due to appear in court today.
