A Moray employment agency that survived through two periods of severe recession it to close its doors for good next month.
Elgin-based Top Agency has been matching employers with employees in Moray for 22 years – but in an increasingly competitive business has discovered that as a small and locally based supplier the business is no longer viable.
Managing partner at the agency, Steve Bremner, said: “After 22 years in business it is with great sadness that we have to announce that The Top Agency will cease to trade from Friday March 27, 2015.
“Using our local knowledge, an unmatched level of professionalism and integrity we have provided permanent and temporary staffing solutions to clients covering a broad range of industries across Moray and beyond.”
Mr Bremner admitted that the decision was an “exceptionally hard one”, saying: “We are proud to have not only been able to provide business with the employees needed to ensure their ongoing success and growth but also to have been able to assist local people in finding gainful employment.
“This said in an ever increasingly competitive large national and international business our role as a small locally based supplier is no longer viable.
“We would like to thank all the amazing people we have met and worked with over the years.
“Whether client or staff it has truly been a privilege to support you and see your inspiring, incredible growth. When we close the doors we do so with our heads held high proud of our contribution to individuals and companies’ successes.”
