A series of free training events for third sector organisations has been launched by tsiMORAY.
The programme has been especially designed to help organisations comply with legal requirements and develop key skills in areas like leadership, management, governance, strategic and operational planning as well as practical skills like writing successful funding applications, time and financial management and managing volunteers.
Launching the programme this week, tsiMORAY Chief Officer, Fabio Villani said: “Like everybody else, voluntary groups and social enterprises need to continue to develop and improve – as well as comply with new legislation – if they wish to remain relevant and effective – our training programme is specifically designed to meet their needs.”
This month the focus will be on E-Commerce and Marketing, showing organisations how to use digital technology including social networking as a key tool for small rural community based organisations.
On the April 20 there is an Essential Guide to Automatic Enrolment – understanding workplace pensions and employee benefits. This will assist individuals who have responsibility of developing the initial and ongoing plan to ensure compliance with the auto enrolment regime arising from the Pensions Act 2008.
On April 29 there is a practical introduction to get organisations started using social accounting and social auditing to prove, improve and account for the difference you make.
All of the training courses are free but pre-booking is essential. More details can be found on the tsiMORAY website, or by popping in to the office at 30/32 High Street Elgin.
