Doug Cowie is teaming up with his son Neil, Ian Wilde and Carlo Miele for the challenge on Saturday, June 26 – aiming to arrive back in Forres on Fathers’ Day to a reception being organised by the Rotary Club in the town.
Rotary Forres will be collecting at the local Tesco store on Saturday 20th to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a world-leading innovation centre who pioneer new treatments for cancer.
Club President Andy Wardley said: “A number of our members, as is true of everyone in the community, have been touched by cancer, including prostate cancer.
“So we are just delighted to show our support for the team in their endeavours and give the Forres community the chance to support them.”
Other Rotary Clubs throughout the UK will also be holding cycling events to mark Fathers’ Day and raise awareness of Prostate Cancer charities.
