FIVE BUCKIE TEENAGERS are expected to appear in Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday after a major disturbance at a home in the town on Thursday.
Police wearing riot gear laid siege to a flat on Wallace Avenue for almost ten hours after they had arrived on the scene at 5.30am.
The occupants of the flat had barricaded themselves in and refused to open the door – the resulting stand-off led to the street being cordoned off. The incident came to an end only when police stormed the flat and forced entry at around 3pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “This is being treated as a disturbance which occurred between individuals.”
Police have now confirmed that five males – two aged 19, two aged 18 and one 17-year-old – had been arrested and will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday.
