Moray centre to host series of Science and Digital Health seminars

A SERIES OF SEMINARS is being launched at the Alexander Graham Bell Centre next week featuring experienced science and digital health specialists.

The Research, Innovation and Technology seminar series will kick off on Tuesday (August 30) and run through until March 2017, with subject including the practical use of Digital Channel Media in Health and Social Care and the use of Technology in Cardiology and Babies and Robots.

Tuesday’s opening event features Professor Nikola Kasabov from the Knowledge Engineering and Discovery Research Institute (KEDRI) at Auckland University of Technology, who will talk about his work in the field of deep learning, spiking neural networks and spatio-temporal data machines including the NeuCube.

Jacqui Taylor, Head of Marketing and External Relations at Moray College UHI said: “The seminar series is a great opportunity to bring together academia, research and healthcare within the Moray region, focusing on life sciences and digital health.”

The seminar begins at 5pm at the Moray Street campus with complimentary drinks and canapes, followed by the lecture at 5.45pm with an opportunity for a Q&A session at the close.
