Moray firms on alert as annual Business Awards date revealed

THE SEARCH IS ON for the best business talent in the region as the Moray Chamber of Commerce are set to host their second annual awards lunch.

The Stotfield Hotel in Lossiemouth is the chosen venue on November 16 when the local business winners over four categories will be announced.

The best Small to Medium Enterprise award, most promising Enterprise, Community Tourism award and Tourism Business award at the categories for which the search is already under way.

Last year’s winners were Pozzi Ltd, Pinz Bowling Ltd, Piping at Forres and Gordon Castle Walled Garden respectively – now businesses are being invited to apply for the 2016 prizes.

Guest speaker at the lunch will be the owner of ‘Berry Good’, Jill Brown, who recently moved the fruit-infused spirits business from Caithness to Elgin – and has continued to develop and grow in Moray. The business has won numerous awards including Winners of Best Drink at the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards.

The Chamber’s Awards Lunch is a highlight of the business calendar, showcasing the positive role of businesses within Moray. The lunch will take place during an exciting schedule of events for Moray Business Week.

Applications for the awards are now open to all businesses, including businesses that are not members of the chamber – these can be found on the Moray Chamber of Commerce website.

Tickets for this year’s event are priced at £25 + VAT each for members and non-members and include a drink on arrival and a two course lunch. Arrival is 11.30am for a 12 noon start and will conclude around 2.30pm.
