COMMUNITY GROUPS ARE being invited to turn their ideas into reality through a new participatory funding scheme being coordinated by tsiMORAY.

Grants of between £150 and £1500 are being made available to applicants who focus their idea on preventing and reducing risk or harm caused directly or indirectly through the misuse of drugs and alcohol.

A spokeswoman said: “We are looking in particular at ideas that can improve choices and chances – and support people who are making positive decisions.

“We can support the development of ideas into proposals through fun and creative group workshops – and, by arrangement, we can come to you, or if you prefer you can make an appointment for one-to-one support at tsiMORAY on behalf of your group.

“Our aim is to support the development of proposals that address barriers or challenges and that has the potential to build happier, healthier, safer, stronger, more equitable and resilient communities in Moray.

“You and your group could organise a ‘mocktail’ party, make a mini-map of fun things to do in your area, host a community or neighbourhood networking or wellbeing event, or you may have something else totally different in mind. We’d love to hear about it!”

Information and application details can be found on the tsiMORAY Our Communities (Drugs and Alcohol) web page.   Applications must be made by November 22.

To book an appointment or a group workshop, or for any other queries regarding the initiative, the contact is elidh@tsimoray.co.uk.
