Bigger and better Christmas on Ice spectacular set for Moray

Christmas on Ice returns to the Moray Leisure Centre this month.

MORAY’S TOP FIGURE SKATERS have been working hard at the latest rehearsals for Moray Figure Skating Club’s forthcoming Christmas spectacular.

The annual show has now been running for 20 years – and the 2016 performance is the most ambitious to date complete with professional lighting and spotlights to add to the magic.

Moray Figure Skating Club, one of the most successful in the country, will be hosting this year’s Christmas show on December 16 at 6pm and Saturday, December 17 at 2.30pm on the ice at Moray Leisure Centre. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show and spectators are advised to dress warmly.

Coaches Graeme Summers and Sue Summers-Farrell said: “The skaters and our volunteers have worked tremendously hard to put this year’s show together.

“It will be a really entertaining production for all the family and a chance for our skaters to show off their many skills. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with a Christmas-themed ice skating show.

“There will also be Christmas stalls, a raffle and hot drinks available – and Santa will be skating too!”

Tickets for the show are now available at morayfigureskatingclub.co.uk and at Sound and Vision in South Street, Elgin.

Tickets can also be purchased at the club’s desk in Moray Leisure Centre’s reception area on Fridays from 1700 to 1930, Saturdays 1000 to 1330 and Sundays 0745 to 1345.

Tickets are also available from Mike on 07974 387326 and Lesley on 07771 576252. Further details are also available by emailing christmasgala@morayfigureskatingclub.co.uk.
