THE USE OF WEB FACILITIES to make it easier for the public to access services will once again be in evidence in Moray with a new site launched this week.

The Moray Personal Support Network has been introduced by Moray Council in partnership with Health and Social Care Moray and tsiMoray.

Designed to help those in need of support in employing a personal assistant, the Support In Moray website will also allow people seeking employment in such a role to create their own online profile.

It will also provide information and advice on the benefits of employing a personal assistant and the recruitment process required to secure one.

Michelle Fleming, self-directed support officer for Health and Social Care Moray, explained: “The website will make the process of finding the right personal assistant much more easy, efficient and streamlined.

“Employing your own personal assistant can give you choice, control and flexibility over how your needs are met.

“Whether you receive self-directed support or privately fund your own care and support, this website can help you to find the right personal assistant for you.”
