THE BUCKIE LIFEBOAT has joined Coastguard and Police in a major overnight search after a man failed to return from a kayaking expedition.
Police have reported that the 35-year-old has been reported as being overdue from a sea-kayaking trip after leaving his home on Friday evening with the intention of travelling to Portsoy.
This morning the family of Dominic Jackson from Fettercairn released images of the kayaker, whose Volkswagen van was found parked at Portsoy Harbour at around 10pm on Sunday.
Lifeboats from Buckie, Banff, Fraserburgh and Macduff have all been involved in the search alongside a dozen Coastguard personnel and five police units.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about the missing man to contact them immediately on 101.
