Over-60s invited out for a Buckie vintage cuppa and chat

A SERIES OF events aimed at bringing together Moray’s Over-60s residents is set to continue in Buckie this month.

The ‘Vintage Tea’ events are supported by NHS Grampian, Moray Council and tsiMoray and seeks to help promote the health and wellbeing of senior residents.

Events were held in Keith, Forres, Elgin and Fochabers last year – now they are moving on to Buckie on Thursday, February 23 from 2pm until 4pm in the Fisherman’s Hall.

A spokeswoman said: “This is the fourth event of its kind that we have run, the previous Vintage Teas having taken place in Keith, Forres, Elgin and Fochabers.

“The vintage tea event is to promote good health and wellbeing through showcasing local groups and services within their local community.

“A vintage tea will served whilst the local community will have a chance to inform the local authority and NHS what they would like to see in their community to keep them in good health.”

Tea and cake is being kindly provided for the free event by the local Tesco store in Buckie.
