REGIONAL CONSERVATIVE MSP Douglas Ross became the latest Holyrood MSP to learn of the Mental Health conditions faced by ex-service personnel.
The charity Combat Stress has recently been briefing MSP at Holyrood, representatives from the charity that supports Scottish veterans explaining their work in helping rebuild lives.
Mr Ross said: “Our veterans are an asset to Scotland and the work Combat Stress does to support them in the Highlands and Islands and across the country is invaluable. We have many veterans in our region that deserve our full support.
“It is vital that all veterans have access to the specialist support that they need for conditions such as PTSD, depression and anxiety. I would encourage all those who need support to contact organisations such as Combat Stress at the earliest opportunity.
“We all owe a significant debt to those who have served in our armed forces, and we must work together to ensure that they have access to the support they need and deserve. They did not hesitate when they served to protect our country, now we must not hesitate to support veterans who need our help.”
