LOSSIEMOUTH IN ALL its glory has been featuring on national television this morning as the general election was discussed to a glorious and sunny backdrop.
The ‘Jewel’ was chosen by producers of ITV’s Good Morning Britain show as the venue for a discussion on how people in Moray believe the general election seat will pan out.
Presenter Kate Garraway led the discussion and was clearly delighted when she arrived on the promenade telling the gathered guests: “This is absolutely beautiful – what a setting, you are all very, very lucky to be living in a place like this, I’m really jealous!”
Ms Garraway moved freely amongst locals who had answered a call on insideMoray to take part in the live broadcast, which sought the views of ordinary people from all walks of life, ages and political leanings.
A backroom staff member for the show on being informed that Lossiemouth had been dubbed as the “Jewel of the Moray Firth” told insideMoray: “This is an exceptional setting by any standard – I can see just why it is described that way.
“Sadly we are not here for long but I will certainly take some personal time to revisit Moray at some point – it is not just the scenery, which is spectacular, but the lovely people here. Kate was correct, you are all very fortunate to live in a place such as this.”
