THE MORAY PARENT and Carers group are set to put cash gained through the Money for Moray participatory funding round to good use.
Following their successful bid the group has been firmly established as a resource for parent and carers of children who have health and/or learning disabilities or difficulties.
A spokesman for the group told insideMoray: “Very often such carers and parents feel isolated – now the group is there to help them through shared information and experiences.
“It is there for those who might feel overwhelmed by their caring role and who need help and advice from others who understand the issues.”
The group has now set up regular drop-in sessions at the Ex-Serviceman’s Club in Elgin, just opposite the Moray Council, on the second Thursday of each month.
Sessions will also be held at the Auchernach, Forres with the dates made available on request.
