Three seriously injured in road traffic collision on B9103

AN APPEAL HAS BEEN ISSUED by Police Scotland for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision to the south of Lhanbryde on Monday.

Four people suffered injuries, three seriously, and were taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital following the accident on the B9103 Sheriffston to Orton road close to Altonside, Tendland at around 9.10pm last night.

In total four people travelling in one of the vehicles suffered injuries when a southbound black Peugeot 206 was involved in a collision.

Two men aged 30 and 19 were seriously injured and taken to Dr Gray’s but later transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. A 23-year-old woman suffered fractures and remains at Dr Gray’s while another 19-year-old man sustained only minor injuries and was later released from hospital.

Early this morning the road remained closed while an investigation is carried out into the cause of the collision.

Sergeant Colin Matheson of the Road Policing Department said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the black Peugeot 206 beforehand is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3686 of 12th June 2017.”
