Elgin to Lossiemouth road claims another car – driver uninjured

A MOTORIST ESCAPED serious injury when his car failed to negotiate a turn on the A941 Elgin to Lossiemouth road on Sunday – and landed in woods on its roof.

The male driver is believed to have been the only occupant of the blue Nissan 350Z when it left the road at shortly before 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

Traffic was slowed to a crawl as other motorists assisted in directing traffic around the crash site on a road that has seen several similar incidents in recent years.

An insideMORAY reader said: “I passed the scene a minute or two after the accident and the driver, who looked to be in his 20’s, was clearly shaken but unhurt. It was at the same bend that has seen several accidents – drivers tend to underestimate the bend in particular under wet conditions – particularly in the summer months.”

A police spokesman confirmed that they were informed of the accident at around 2.55pm, adding: “The male drive was uninjured and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.”
