A COMMUNITY TRUST that has set its sights on developing and improving services for its community has secured almost £150k to keep it operating for the next three years.
Forres Area Community Trust (FACT) has received the funding from the Big Lottery as part of the community-led activity programme.
The grant of £149,427 which will be spread over three years, has been awarded to enable FACT to take forward developing and improving services within their community and supporting FACT towards sustainability.
Big Lottery Fund Scotland Chair, Maureen McGinn, said: “I am delighted that Forres Area Community Trust has been successful in securing a Big Lottery Fund grant.
“The funding will make a big difference where it is needed most and I wish the Forres Area Community Trust every success as it goes on to develop and expand its project for the benefit of their local community.”
FACT aim to use this funding to support existing and developing partnerships, co-working opportunities and work towards the development of a community asset transfer of the Town Hall for use as a social enterprise centre.
