THE SUMMER READING challenge promoted in Moray’s library and supported by the Tesco Bank has been declared a success with almost 1000 young people signing up.
Now the local authority is saying that they are hoping many more take up the challenge before the August 26 deadline.
Based around ‘Animal Agent’ characters, the challenge is very much for youngsters who love to solve mysteries – young readers can help them crack their biggest case yet, by finding clues within six selected titles in the challenge.
Each completed book is rewarded with a special sticker, and each time those taking part visit the library as part of the challenge they discover new clues and evidence that will help solve this cryptic case.
As an added bonus, all children who have read at least three of their six books will be invited to a special event with Lossiemouth-born illustrator, Kate Leiper.
Children can sign up to take part at any of Moray’s libraries.
