Police seek information on couple who approached kids in Portknockie

INFORMATION IS BEING sought by police in Buckie over an incident that was reported last weekend on Seafield Street in Portknockie.

At around 8pm on Friday, July 21 at the junction of the A942 and Seafield Terrace, a male and female spoke to two girls aged 13 and 9 who were playing at the end of the road.

Police are keen to trace that male and female who were in a silver-coloured car which subsequently made off towards Cullen.

A description of the couple issued today describe them as being in their 20s to 30s, the man had short dark hair and was wearing a black top. The woman’s description is that she had long, blonde hair and was wearing a white top and black cardigan – she had sunglasses on her head.

Investigating officer PC Joe Jacques said: “The children were not injured during this incident, however we would like to trace the man and woman involved to establish the exact circumstances of this incident.

“If you were in the area at around 8.00pm last Friday evening and saw anything which could assist with our enquiry would urge you to get in touch. Likewise, if you recognise yourself as the man or woman described I would ask that you make contact with us.”
