THREE FIRE APPLIANCES were rushed to a building in Forres last night after a blaze broke out shortly after 10pm.
The fire was reported in an unoccupied flat on Tytler Street in the Moray town with emergency services alerted at around 10.15pm.
Two Fire and Rescue Service appliances were called from Forres and an additional unit from Nairn along with an incident support vehicle. It is understood that there were no occupants in the four-story building.
A Scottish Police spokesman confirmed that they were also in attendance: “We had three units at the scene at Royal Court on Tytler Street. We have received information from fire crews on site that they believe no one is thought to be in the building.”
Fire and Rescue officers deployed two hoses in the operation and said the fire had occurred on the first floor of the building.
