THE FOCHABERS BYPASS was blocked heading eastwards for a short time on Monday following a collision between a motorcycle and Range Rover.
Fortunately the motorcyclist escaped with only minor injuries when involved in the A96 collision at around 11am.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and was described by one eye-witness as ‘walking wounded’, it was later confirmed that while it was initially thought he may need to be airlifted from the scene that was not required.
“We were called to a two vehicle collision involving a motorbike and Range Rover on the Fochabers by-pass as 11.10am,” a Police Scotland spokeswoman said, adding: “The road was blocked to east-bound traffic – an air ambulance was requested but was stood down.
“It looks like the motorcyclist received only minor injuries.”
