A96 collision outside Elgin causes early morning delays

TRAFFIC IS MOVING again this morning following an earlier crash close to the Oakwood Cookery School that caused major disruption.

A collision involving Seat and Renault vehicles on the main Aberdeen to Inverness route just outside Elgin happened at around 8.30 this morning (Thursday).

The road was blocked for around an hour but police confirm that it is now open again and traffic flowing.

A spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of a collision on the A96 at 8.30am. Two cars were involved.

“One person required to be checked by ambulance staff but there was nothing majorly wrong with them.”
