THE CYCLE ROUTE between Elgin and Lhanbryde could be one of the most colourful in Scotland next spring – if a local company can find enough volunteers to place tonnes of Daffodil Bulbs!
Ian Taylor, who is managing director of Speyfruit based on Chanonry Road in Elgin, is hoping to find volunteers who are willing to help plant the bulbs along the popular new cycleway.
Ian told insideMORAY: “I purchased two tonnes of Daffodils and now wish to have then planted on the cycle route in memory of my mother, Sylvia, who passed away some years ago now from Breast Cancer.
“I feel it would be a fitting tribute to her and the many of my friends and family who have also lost loved ones. They can in future walk or cycle along the path and be reminded of their fond memories of loved ones.”
Anyone willing to assist Mr Taylor can contact him via Email to ian@speyfruit.co.uk or by calling Speyfruit on 01343 545343.
